Our Scripture reading today is Luke 24:13-15.

Verse 15, "And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them."

What a discussion this must have been!  Jesus had been crucified and now His tomb was empty.  The events that took place were more life changing than these men could realize.  How could a man rise again from the dead?  Is Jesus Christ really the Messiah?  Their walk to Emmaus is about to get really interesting as Jesus draws near to them.

The last four words of verse 15 can be claimed every day by every child of God.  Our Saviour is walking with us today!  We are promised in James 4:8, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you."  There is great peace that comes to us as we keep this truth in the forefront of our minds.  God is with us!

"When two saints are talking together, Jesus is very likely to come and make the third one in the company. Talk of Him, and you will soon talk with him." (Spurgeon)
