Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 24:16, "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief."
The promise of God's strength and deliverance are on display in this verse of Scripture.  When we compare the just man and the wicked man, one continuously gets up and the other does not.  What is the difference?  Actually the difference is a Who.  The just or the savee have living in them the Holy Spirit of God.  This great truth gives the just man the spiritual and physical strength to continue to rise up.  I love the following quote: “Though God permit the hand of violence sometimes to spoil his tent, temptations to assail his mind, and afflictions to press down his body, he constantly emerges; and every time he passes through the furnace, he comes out brighter and more refined.” (Clarke). Possibly this is current in your life.
There are invaluable lessons we learn during the fallen times.  In my opionion, falling in this verse is not always referring to sin.  It can be a time of God ordained trouble and testing.  Whatever the case may be, God is and always will be faithful to give us the strength to rise up!
