Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 4:12-14.
Verse 12, "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:"
The trials and testings that come into all of our lives can be viewed as obstacles or opportunities. I would like to get to the place in my life where I always see them as opportunities. This opportunity may be glorifying and honouring God, or it could be the strengthening of our faith. Let's all seek God's help in having the mindset that trials and testings are opportunities.
While we never know exactly when they are coming, we can and should expect them. Allow me to remind you that every trial is filtered through the Father's hands. He approves them before they ever enter our lives. God has a specific purpose and plan. Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." May each of us seek to be content with His expected end.
