Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 9:26-28.
Verse 28, "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many..."
In the Old Testament, a lamb without blemish and spot would be offered as a sacrifice for the sins of the people. Jesus Christ was that Lamb for your sins and mine. He was the Lamb of God. (See John 1:29 and 36) His one time sacrifice was enough to pay the penalty of sin for every man. Christ sacrifice is sufficient for anyone to be save!
Jesus paid it all,
All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow.
Hebrews 1:3, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"
