Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."
One of the ways to describe vision is a thought or concept. Whenever I think
of vision, I think of praying and planning. If we are going to plan for something,
we must think about it. We need to ask God to give us vision for how we can
get the Gospel to more people. A vision is also needed as to how we can equip
others to be a part of the labour force for Christ. Matthew 9:37-38, "Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."
Parents, do you have a vision for how your children will serve God with their
life? We may all not be a pastor or missionary, but we should all be full-time
Christians. There is a great need for Christian parents to have vision for their
children.
