Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 4:26-27, "Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil."
Every decision we make is taking us to a specific destination.  The wise individual considers where he or she will end up if going down a certain path.  This is what Solomon is referring to when he challenges us to "ponder the path of thy feet."  Where will one drink of alcohol take me?  Where will one look at pornography take me?  Where will these divisive words take me?  The devil would love for us to simply consider the moment and what satisfaction we will have.  He is always trying to "pull the wool over our eyes" to keep us from staying on the path God has for us.
Psalm 37:23, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way."  A worthwhile prayer request for every day of our lives is asking the LORD to order our steps.  He will keep us going the right way and we will always end up at the right place.
