Our Scripture reading today is 2 Kings 2:14, "And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him,
and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the
waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over."
The LORD God of Elijah is still God today! We don't need to follow Elijah as much as
we need to follow his LORD. God is the same today as He was when Elijah walked the
face of the earth. God is still almighty! He has not and will not change. He is ready to
lead us over whatever challenges are in our path. God is our great shepherd. Hallelujah!
Can the almighty God be seen in your life? Elisha asked where is the God of Elijah?
This is not quite what he was saying, but we can apply it to our lives this way. Do our
lives allow others to see Christ or is there too much of self and the world in the way?
When is the last time we told someone of our Saviour? It ought to happen on a
regular basis.
