Our Scripture reading today is John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
Many times when I read a passage or verse of Scripture a hymn comes to mind.  In this particular verse, we can see the hymn by P. P. Bliss, "Wonderful Words of Life."  The song was written in 1874 and has a powerful message of bringing lost sinners to the Saviour.  It emphasizes what Jesus Christ emphasizes in John 6.  The WORDS of Jesus are spirit and life.  Who is Jesus?  He is the Son of God.  We can conclude these words to be the words of God.
Take the message of God's Word to someone today.  They are words of life, hope, peace, love, and so much more.  Meditate on these words of Jesus Christ as well as the words of Mr. Bliss.  The Word of God is beautiful and wonderful!
Sing them over again to me, wonderful words of life,
Let me more of their beauty see, wonderful words of life;
Words of life and beauty teach me faith and duty.
Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life,
Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life.
Christ, the blessèd One, gives to all wonderful words of life;
Sinner, list to the loving call, wonderful words of life;
All so freely given, wooing us to heaven.
Sweetly echo the Gospel call, wonderful words of life;
Offer pardon and peace to all, wonderful words of life;
Jesus, only Saviour, sanctify us forever.
