Our Scripture reading today is Luke 1:5-7.
Verse 6, "And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless."
How difficult it must have been for Zacharias and Elisabeth to be unable to have a child. This burden did not keep them from faithfully following the will of God for their lives. It is written that they were righteous before God. This was seen in their walk as much as in their talk.
We have an opportunity every day to walk in the ways of the Lord. The Word of God gives us the instructions we should follow that will not only please God but will let others see Christ in us. There are burdens that will come our way. We need to cast them all on Him and faithfully and willing obey His commandments.
