Our Scripture reading today is Colossians 1:19-21.
Verse 21, "And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled."
There is a demonstration in this passage of Scripture of the unconditional love of God.  Our sinful choices alienated us from God, and His Son made it possible for us to receive reconciliation.  The sinless One provided the way back to God for the sinner.  The work of reconciliation was initiated by God.  Think about that statement.  The creator God loves us in such a way that He was willing to sacrifice His only begotten Son in order to fulfill His demands.
Forgiveness and justification are the need of every sinner.  God is the Judge and we are guilty before Him.   Once we were the enemy, and now through Christ we are made His child!  Romans 5:10, "For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life."  May God help us today to share this message of reconciliation with someone in need.
