Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
The truths from these two verses of Scripture never seem to run dry.  They have been and continue to be an intricle part of my Christian life.  As followers of Jesus Christ, our bodies are home to the Holy Spirit of God.  Oh, how this Biblical teaching should cause us to run from temptation and sin!  God is living inside of us.  We have no right to pollute our bodies with the filth of this world. We have no right to continue to live in bitterness and unforgiveness.  We have no right to use our eyes to view things that are dishonouring to the LORD.  We do not belong to ourselves.  Through God's love and grace, He paid the penalty for our sin in order that we might be forgiven of our sins and live in victory.  We belong to Him!
What should we be doing with our bodies?  The answer can be found in verse 20.  It is our privielge and duty to bring glory to God.  This means the way we live our lives should make God look good.  Our testimony at work should glorify God.  Our testimony at school and in the neighbourhood should glorify God.  Our bodies should always be ready to be used by the Master to deliver the truth which brings Him glory.  Keep your vessel clean by continually taking a bath in the Word of God.  A clean body brings glory to God!
