Our Scripture reading today is John 15:10-11.
Verse 10, "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."
The test of if we are a true disciple is found in our obedience to His Word. Do we have a desire to obey what God commands us to do? It does not mean we will be perfect in this manner, but the desire is there. Our love for God will lead us to obey His commandments. John 14:15, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." His commandments are there to protect us as well as bring spiritual growth into our lives.
