Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 84:11, "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD
will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."
When we trusted Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour, we were given more than we
can imagine. Eternal life is a present possession that is the pinnacle of our salvation.
This is not the only benefit of being saved. There is a trade made from our father the
devil to God the Father. Notice what the Psalmist says about our new Father.
“What does the text say? It does not say, ‘I will force all my children to enjoy every good thing.’
No, but, ‘No good thing will he withhold.’ There are thousands of mercies that we do not enjoy, not
because they are withheld, but because we do not take them.” (Spurgeon)
Don't miss out on all that God wants you to have because you are His child. Start walking like you are a
Christian and see what happens.
