Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 2:12. "Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation."

The Apostle Peter reminds us just how important it is that our actions line up with our words.  Many people in his day were falsely accusing Christians of all kinds of crimes.  They were just made up claims because the Christians did not give them any evidence to use against them.  Their walk matched their talk.

Our good works can and will be used to bring the lost world to one day glorify God.  This means the lost world would turn to Christ and be saved.  It is very important that we guard our testimony.  As the old saying goes, "Actions speak louder than words."
