Our Scripture reading is 1 Samuel 7:10-12.

Verse 12, "Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us."

The Ebenezer stone is a memorial of God helping the nation of Israel.  It would be something the people would see and remember the victory God provided over the Philistines.  While we have not been battling the Philistines lately, there have been plenty of victories God has provided.

Do you have any Ebenezer stones?  Do you have any reminders of the victories God has given you?  I would encourage you to start setting aside a stone or two and hold onto these reminders.  These "stones" not only remind us what God has done, but they encourage us that He can and will do it again!  He will always be there to help us in our time of need.

Psalm 121:1-2, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth."
