Our Scripture reading today is Romans 10:9-13.
Verse 13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Praise God for a "whosoever" Gospel!  This means that the Gospel is not limited to one people group or demographic.  It matters not what language you speak, you can choose to receive God's gift of salvation and be saved.  While we cannot do anything to save ourselves, we do have a part in salvation.  What part does the sinner play in the plan of salvation?  The sinner must call.  Acts 16:31 puts it this way, "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."  Everyone who attends church is not going to Heaven.  Everyone who gives to their favourite charity is not going to Heaven.
Salvation is simple:  Admit that you are a sinner and cannot save yourself; Believe that Jesus Christ, God's Son, died to pay the penalty for your sin; Call out to God in faith to receive His gift of salvation.  Religion makes salvation very complicated.  God's plan is simple for the sinner.  Share His message with someone today!
