Our Scripture reading today is Luke 17:12-14.
Verse 14, "And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed."
The sight of the leprous men in great need brought Jesus Christ to perform a miraculous healing. These men who had been given a death sentence lifted up their voices with a cry of desperation, but it was when Jesus saw them that He provided them with the way to be cleansed. It was an unusual way in that they were told to go to the priest even though they still had leprosy. Their faith would be needed to activate the miracle of healing. “The one condition of healing was obedience. Ordered, they must obey. If He was master as they had cried He was, then let them prove their faith by their obedience.” (Morrison)
There is no better time than today to pray believing for the miracle needed in your life or the life of your family. Whether it is physical, spiritual, or emotional, God can meet your need! It could also include some action on your part. The men with leprosy had to start towards wherever the priest was. What is God asking of you today to activate His miracle working power?
