Our Scripture reading today is 2 Corinthians 5:9-11.
Verse 11, "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences."
One of the greatest responsibilities and privileges we have as Christians is to be ambassadors for Jesus Christ.  We are commanded to represent Him on this sin-filled earth.  The message we have been given to deliver is quite simple but very important.  The God of the universe loves all sinners and He has provided the way for everyone to be forgiven and have eternal life.  John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Toward the end of that verse it mentions not perishing.  We can conclude then that when someone rejects God's message, they would be perishing and under God's eternal judgment.  John the Apostle refers to this as the "second death."  Revelation 20:14, "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."  Who do you know today that is headed for the lake of fire?  Remember, the lake of fire is as much eternal as Heaven is eternal.  When a lost, hell-bound sinner dies, there is no hope of Heaven for that individual.  It is imperative that we take our responsibility seriously of sharing God's message of forgiveness.  Give the Gospel to someone today!
