Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 2:6-8.
Verse 6, "Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded."
The foundation of the life and ministry of the church as well as every born again believer must be Jesus Christ.  He is referred to here as the chief corner stone.  Jesus Christ was given this title by God Himself.  There have been many changes since this decree was made, but the truth found in this verse has not changed.  We will always need the chief corner stone!
In a day of much confusion, we need our faith strengthened.  Romans 10:17, "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God."  Our faith will be strengthened as our time in the Scriptures is increased.   Our enemy would love to see us drifting away from the things of God.  Sadly, many have drifted away from the church and their walk with God this year.  If you are one that has drifted, it is time to get back to the chief corner stone, Jesus Christ.  It is time to be involved in the ministry of the church.  It is time to open God's Word and let it open you.  There is no time to delay!
