Today's Scripture reading is Exodus 2:13-15.
Verse 14, "And Moses feared, and said, surely this thing is known."
The event that Moses feared was his killing of an Egyptian back in verse 12. He had reacted to a situation in anger and tried to cover up his wrong doing. Moses did not realize that someone had witnessed his sin. A motivator for doing right is to be a godly influence to those who are watching us. We all have influence. The decisions we make will greatly impact the people who are looking to us for leadership. We might think no one will see our actions and that might be true in a physical sense. Moses wrote the following in Numbers 32:23, "...and be sure your sin will find you out." Isn't that amazing? God had Moses write these inspired words. Moses knew this statement to be true. God helping us, we must do right all the time!
