Today’s Scripture reading is Proverbs 6:6-9.
Verse 6, "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise."
The ant is one of the smallest of God's creatures and yet this hasn't prevented them from working with great effort.  They can be seen carrying small food particles as well as working together to carry bigger ones.  Ants are storing food for present as well as future use.  It cannot be overstated that the one of the greatest qualities of the ant is their work ethic.  This is a great reminder to each one of us.  Paul challenges the Corinthian Christians in 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."  Our work is applied to this verse as well.  At the end of the day, we want to bring glory to God through our work.
