Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 6:8, "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."

Just as in the days of Isaiah, I believe that the voice of the Lord is still calling His children to some area of service.  God is calling all age groups to surrender their lives for His glory.  Unfortunately, fewer and fewer people are entering the full-time Gospel ministry.  This can be boiled down to two main reasons.  The first is that they cannot hear God's call.  There are too many other noises in their life that are drowning out the voice of God.  These noises are strategically placed by the devil in order to distract from the will of God.  The second reason is a refusal to obey the voice of the Lord.  There are others who are hearing God's call but would rather go their own way in life.

We need to pray for the spirit of Isaiah and say, "Here am I: send me".
