Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 1:27-29.
Verse 28, "And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:"
Many times we are hesitant to attempt something for the LORD because we feel unqualified.  Satan will use our past or present against us.  He is always trying to discourage.  According to the Apostle Paul's writing to the Corinthian believers, we can do a mighty work whether we are qualified or not.  The qualification is not what is important.  God has called each of His children to live for and serve Him.  Someone once said, "God does not call the qualified; God qualifies the called."  Elsewhere in Scripture we read, "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31
Our focus should not be on what we can or cannot do.  Our focus must be on the Lord God.  He is able to empower us to accomplish the impossible.  More than likely, who we are and what we do for God is insignificant in the eyes of the world.  Honestly, this is right where we should desire to be.  It cannot be about us, it must always be about HIM!  John 3:30, "He must increase, but I must decrease."
