Our Scripture reading today is Matthew 5:14-16.
Verse 16, "Let your light so shine before men,"
These few verses are a small potion of the Lord Jesus sermon on the mount. There is a definite emphasis placed on light. Many times we are concerned about the darkness when it appears that our real concern should be our light.
My life is my light to this world. My new life in Jesus Christ speaks loudly before I ever open my mouth. Remember, your walk talks louder than your talk. The Sunday school song is not just for children. "This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine. This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine." God helping us, may we shine brightly until the Lord Jesus returns!
