Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 16:4, "The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil."
As we have emphasized in our current series on Avoiding Confusion, God did not create evil or sin.  He created man and even the angels with free a will.  Thus, we are capable of rejecting His love and committing all sorts of evil deeds.  God did not make the choice, we did.   “He does not make the wicked or ungodly man; but when man has made himself such, even then God bears with him. But if he repent not, when the measure of his iniquity is filled up, he shall fall under the wrath of God his Maker.” (Clarke)
We have a daily choice to live for self or for the One who gave us life.  We can live for our peers or for our loving, Heavenly Father.  May each one of us exercise our free will not only to turn to Him for salvation, but to turn our lives over to Him.  1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
