Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 3:26, "For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken."

It has become increasingly clear over the past several years that we must anchor our confidence in the LORD.  He is never changing and always good.  Psalm 118:8-9, "It is better to put our trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.  It is better to trust in the LORD than to put our confidence in princes.  Whether it be a family member, friend, pastor, or government leader, they are all fallible and prone to make mistakes.  Proverbs 25:19, "Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint."   The LORD Jesus has a perfect record and that is not going to change with you or me.  Psalm 36:5, "Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

We may not understand His ways or His works, but we can trust He knows the end from the beginning.  If you love Him, He is working all things together for your good.
