Our Scripture reading today is Luke 23:13-15.

Verse 15, "No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him."

Pilate said it several times but in different ways.  There wasn't anything he could find that Jesus had done worthy of being put to death.  Jesus Christ was the innocent One dying for the guilty.  Isaiah 53:7, "He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth."

The Lord Jesus gave Himself as a sacrifice in order that our sin debt could be paid.  He became sin for us Who never once committed a sin.  He also became death for us.  I deserved to be on that cross.  You deserved to be on that cross.  Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  We have new life through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Our life should be yielded every day to the One Who provided it.  1 Corinthians 6:19, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"
