Our Scripture reading today is Luke 3::7-9.
Verse 8, " Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham."
John the Baptist is preaching a message that may not have been popular then or even today.  True repentance will bring forth good fruit.  It is impossible to be in dwelt by the Spirit of God and not start changing.  God's Spirit will being a work in us and will keep working in us until God calls us home or Jesus Christ returns.  This working of the Spirit of God will produce fruit in our lives.  Galatians 5:22-23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."
What fruit is evident in your life?  Matthew 7:20, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."  Our ways change as our mind changes.  The way we think always affects the way we act.  Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."  Colossians 3:2, "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth."
Only by the good grace of God can we bring forth good fruit.  We must yield to His working in and through us every day.  Anything we see accomplished in our lives is always for His glory!
