Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 6:10, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and
in the power of his might."
The closing words to the church at Ephesus emphasize the importance of finding
strength in the Lord to continue. We are not equipped in ourselves to stay faithful.
God is ready and more than able to strengthen us for the journey. Paul will list the
armor of God in the following verses. Each piece is needed to gain the daily
victory in our Christian life.
Order is always something to take note of when reading the Word of God.
God's strength is needed before we put on the armor. We must not depend on our
strength and put on the armor nor should we depend on His strength but not put on
the armor. God's design must be followed to achieve spiritual success.
