Our Scripture reading today is Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

The way we read this verse is very important.  What it does not say is that everything works together for good for everybody.  There is a phrase in this verse that often gets overlooked or skimmed over.  The phrase is, "to them that love God..."  Do you love God?  Do you really love God?  The answer to that question can be seen in your actions.  Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commandments."  Do you keep His commandments?

I should keep His commandments because I love Him and I recognize how much He has done for me.  As I grow in grace, obedience should be more of a delight than a duty.  My love for God is measured not by saying I love Him, but my actions.
