Today's Scripture reading is 2 Peter 1:8-10.
Verse 9, "But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins."
Do you remember when you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour?  Do you still look forward to spending time in the Word of God and attending church services?  Peter is describing someone who does not add to their faith.  They are not growing in the grace of the Lord and it gets to the point when they forget all that God has done for them.

I am sure 2020 has been a test as to the sincerity of many born again Christians.  Is the Christian life really your LIFE or is it simply a part of your life.  Remembering all that the LORD has done and continues to do for us should cause us to follow Him whole heartedly.  Too many times we allow things or circumstances to blind us from seeing God's will for our lives.  Take time today to ask the Lord for forgiveness of any spiritual apathy that has crept into your life and thank Him for redeeming you and being a friend that is closer than a brother.
