Our Scripture reading today is Luke 19:20-21.

Verse 20, "And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:"

We learn in today's reading that the third servant did not do anything with what his master had given him.  He was told to occupy until his master came back.  This meant he was supposed to be busy with what he was given.  The reason he gave for not doing anything was that his master was powerful enough and did not need his help.

God has given each of His children at least one spiritual gift that is to be used for His glory.  The gift or gifts are to be a blessing to the local church as well.  It is not important how much we have, but what are we doing with what we have.  Are we being faithful to stay busy in the work of the Lord?  The work of the Lord is not just for pastors, missionaries and church staff.  Every child of God should be occupying unto the Lord Jesus returns or calls us home!
