Our Scripture reading today is Matthew 10:27-31.
Verse 28, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
We have an enemy that is not to be taken lightly.  He hates God and will do everything possible to destroy those whom God loves.  John 3:16 tells us that "God so loved the world..."  God's love is for people like you and me.  This love is for the greatest sinner you know.  In recognizing the power of our enemy, we are better prepared for the daily battles we face.  God has provided us all we need to live confidently through Jesus Christ.  The Lord Jesus is our sure foundation.  Isaiah 28:16, "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste."  We need not fear what man can do unto us.  The text goes on to say in verse 31, "Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."  God is our all-powerful, loving heavenly Father.  Whatever He allows into our lives is for our good and His glory.
Have a wonderful day.
