Our Scripture reading today is Matthew 9:36-38.
Verse 37, "Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;"
Sometimes I get to thinking that the labourer shortage we have at Anchor Baptist is only with our church.  Verse 37 indicates that there was a labourer shortage in the days Jesus Christ was on the earth.  While this is true, it does not change nor does it diminish the fact that today in most churches few are doing much and much are doing little.  Once again, I sense a theme from our heavenly Father this week.  There is no doubt a great need for BOLD givers at Anchor Baptist Church.  Givers that are willing to give themselves first to the LORD and then to one another.
How much of your vapour is left?  If you were unable to be in church last night, I would encourage you to find the Bible message and listen with an open heart.  This night might be the night.  If you are reading this, God has given you today to be a faithful labourer in His harvest field.  It will not matter how high you climbed on the ladder of success.  Give your vapour to the LORD.  Give every day to the LORD!  He will do so much more with my life than I ever could.
There is much on my heart, but I will sign off for now.  God is worthy of our surrender to HIM!
