Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 103:10-12.
Verse 12, "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us."
What we deserve and what we receive as Christians are on opposite ends of the spectrum. We deserve to spend eternity in Hell paying the penalty for our sins.  Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death..."  In Jesus Christ, we receive eternal forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven.  John 3:15, "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
This truth alone should bring continual praise and thanksgiving from our lips.  We are guilty and God still pardoned us.  We deserve death in Hell and God made a way for us to be redeemed.  As we meditate on the level of forgiveness God has provided us, it should move us to be willing to forgive.  If a thrice holy God can forgive a sinner like me then surely I can forgive another sinner.
Our appreciation for His forgiveness can truly be seen when we forgive others!
Have a wonderful Lord's Day!
