Today's Scripture reading is Galatians 5:1-4.
Verse 1, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free,"
Salvation cannot be obtained or kept by following any religious laws or regulations. We are saved by God's grace and we are kept by God's grace. The Lord Jesus Christ set us free from the penalty of sin, will give us daily victory over the power of sin and soon will remove us from the presence of sin by taking us to Heaven. These and many other benefits are given to us freely through the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sin was once the master of our lives. Sin ruled and reigned. We have a new Master now. Our new Master loves us unconditionally. Our new Master paid a high price so we could be spiritually free forever. His payment at Calvary gives us the privilege of living for His glory each and every day.
