Today’s Scripture reading is Proverbs 4:1-7.
Verse 5 and 7 - "Get wisdom..."
One of the greatest needs of every follower of Jesus Christ is wisdom. Verse 7 says wisdom is the "principle thing." Where and how do we get wisdom? Wisdom can be found in a close walk with God and in His Word. The level of our wisdom "tank" will be in direct proportion to the time given to reading our Bible. Too many times we are making decisions without God's wisdom. I would recommend a daily searching and asking for wisdom. It is our responsibility to search the Scriptures and then it is our responsibility to ask God for wisdom. James 1:5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ASK of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
