Our Scripture reading today is 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
From time to time, someone will ask what the will of God is for their life. While not everything is spelled out for us, there are several places where the will of God is revealed. We read one of those this morning in Paul's writing to the Thessalonican church. It is the will of God that we give thanks in every thing. We are able to rejoice and give thanks because whatever "thing" is happening in our life, it is the will of God. God's will may not be the easiest to understand at times, but it is always the best.
We must not allow the Devil to blind us to the goodness of God. Whether we know it or not, everything God brings into our lives is good, it is for our good, and for His glory.
