Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 10:12-14.

Verse 13, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

This may be a verse that you have heard often or it could be new to you.  Either way, I would encourage you to mark it in your Bible, meditate on it, and memorize it.  If you can only memorize a portion of it, memorize these three words: "God IS faithful."  The older I get, the more that statement encourages me to press forward for His glory.  God is faithful!

His faithfulness is not contingent on how I live my life.  If I am walking contrary to His will, He is faithful to lovingly, chasten me.  If I am walking in His will, He is faithful to lovingly, bless me.  Jeremiah describes God's faithfulness in Lamentations 3:23, "They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."

The circumstances surrounding your life and mine should not cause us to doubt the faithfulness of our God.  He is faithfully walking through the circumstances of life with us.  Praise Him today!
