Our Scripture reading today is Luke 12:28-30.
Verse 30, "For all those things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things."
There should be a difference in how the child of God lives their daily life compared to someone who does not know the Lord.  The Lord Jesus gives that difference in this text.  The world is seeking after their daily needs and we should be seeking God.  Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."  We do not need to be worried about our daily needs when our heavenly Father knows exactly what we need and He is faithful to provide them.
Our emphasis ought to be placed on seeking God and His will for each day He gives us.  There are people He will lead us to today.  We must be ready to show His love.  We must be ready to point people to Jesus Christ.  The world has a much greater need than food, clothing and shelter.  Their need can be met as we tell our story of how God changed our lives and gives us a peace that passes all understanding.
