Our Scripture reading today is Joshua 6:1-5.

Verse 2, "And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour."

In this chapter, we read what had to be the most unusual battle plan ever drawn up.  I have never served in the military, but to me this seems like a laughable plan for defeating the enemy.  The difference is, this battle plan was from the LORD.  Whatever plan He puts into place will end in victory for whoever follows it.  Isaiah 55:8 tells us, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD."

God's plan for victory today can be found in His Word.  He promises that we are more than conquerors through Him.  As we are in a battle or a approaching one, it would behoove us to seek His battle plan.  His plan of attack may be different from ours, but His way is always best.  His Spirit has all the power we need to overcome whatever our enemy puts in our way.  It is up to us to follow His instructions.
