Our Scripture reading today is John 9:1-5.

Verse 3, "Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him."

What would we be willing to allow into our lives that God's plan would be seen in us?  The unknown man in our text was born blind not because someone had sinned, but that the power of God would been revealed in him.  There was a specific purpose and plan for this man being born blind.  Do we trust God's specific purpose and plan for whatever is happening in our lives today?  So much of what comes into our lives is completely out of our control.  By faith, we trust God's working to be for our good and more importantly for His glory.

If you continue reading John 9, you will find that a miracle is performed by Jesus Christ in restoring the blind man's sight.  The "birth defect" led to this man experiencing something that not everyone was able to experience.  The works of God were made known to him because he was born blind.  God is still working in this way today.  He has sovereingly allowed us to be at this point in our lives.  While we may not understand it all today, in time or eternity it will be revealed.  Trust God with today and every day.  Miracles can and do still happen!  He loves us far greater than anyone else.
