Our Scripture reading today is 2 Peter 1:2-4.

Verse 4, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."

We spoke of this theme on Sunday in Patch Club.  God has made many promises in His Word and He has kept them all.  Not one of God's promises have gone or will go unfulfilled.  He promised to provide a Redeemer in Genesis 3:15 and that promise was fulfilled in Luke 2:11.  It is encouraging to take time and search for promises in the Word of God.  I mean to find promises that already have been fulfilled in your life.

Philippians 4:19 is a promise that has been kept numerous times in my life. "But my God SHALL supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."  Praise God for His continual provision in our lives.  As Peter wrote, there is an abundance of "great and precious promises" that our Heavenly Father has made on our behalf.  What promise are you claiming today?
