Our Scripture reading today is Deuteronomy 8:3.
"That he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live."
When we are hungry, we usually find ourselves going to the same place...the kitchen. In the kitchen we find the refrigerator as well as the cupboards. Both of these "destinations" contain what we are looking for...food.
As a born again Christian, our inner man hungers for spiritual nourishment. This nourishment can only be found in one place...the Word of God. We find everything we need to live in victory in God's Word. We find all the power we need to so no to temptation and to give the Gospel message. To live by the Word of God is not only to read it, but it is also to obey it. God's Word changes the lives of those who allow it to change their lives.
