Today's Scripture reading is Titus 3:12-15.
Verse 14, "Learn to maintain good works..."
While good works do not save someone, they are indicator that someone is saved.  We were created in Christ Jesus to do good.  (See Ephesians 2:10) The purpose of maintaining good works is to bring glory to our God as well as being a testimony to those around us whether saved or not.  Just as it is natural for a cherry tree to produce cherries; good works will be naturally produced in and through the child of God.  A daily time in the Word of God provides the maintenance we need to continue to produce good works.
