Our Scripture reading today is Acts 15:25-27.
Verse 26, "Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
A cause worth giving our lives to is the cause of the Gospel of the LORD Jesus.  His name is worthy of hazarding our lives for.  The word, hazarded, means to give over into one's power or use.  These men gave their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.  We can definitely say they were fully committed.  (More on that this morning at 10.)  Judas and Silas were going to be a great help to Paul and Barnabas as they laboured in the work of the LORD.
If there was ever a more needed time to give our lives over to the LORD, it is now.  More labourers are needed to deliver the truth on Saturday as well as every day we are out and about.  More labourers are needed to serve in Patch Club and other ministries of Anchor Baptist.  Have we any time in our schedule to serve the LORD?  Have we any time in our schedule to deliver the truth?  Are we willing to fully commit ourselves to His name and will for our lives?  I'm afraid many of are hazarding our lives for the temporal and not the eternal.  As someone said to me recently, "Search your heart."
