Today's Scripture reading is 2 Timothy 2:20-22.
Verse 21, "...he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified..."
The word, sanctified, means to separate from profane things and dedicate to God. The word, dedicate, means to devote wholly and earnestly, as to some person or purpose.
As God knows all and sees all, would He consider you to be a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ? Would He consider Pastor Turner to be a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ? There is no doubt in my mind that at a very early age we start making choices that prove we are dedicated. We may not completely understand the word as a child, but we were dedicated. So, the question we must ask ourselves is not "Am I a dedicated person?" The questions we must ask ourselves is, "Who or what am I dedicated to?"
I close this morning with Revelation 4:11, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." He alone is worthy of our complete dedication.
