Our Scripture reading today is Romans 4:19-21.
Verse 21, "And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform."
In reading these verses this morning, I was immediately reminded of the message we heard last night.  God specializes in the impossible!  Abraham and Sarah having a child at their age was most definitely impossible.  The key to verse 21 is, "What he had promised..."  Does God keep His promises?  All of them?  I will let the Word of God answer these questions.  Titus 1:2, "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;."  Since God cannot lie we can rest assured that He will keep ALL of His promises.
It is a wise practice to be on the lookout for the promises of God in His Word.  They are there for our admonition and encouragement.  We are to claim them and hold to them.  We are to share them with others.  One of if not the most important promise of God is mentioned in the above verse in Titus.  God has promised His children eternal life.  I wonder if there might be someone reading this that does not have the assurance of eternal life.  Eternal life is a gift and is available through Jesus Christ.  Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  If you are not saved, come humbly to God today and by faith receive the gift of eternal life!
