Our Scripture reading today is Job 4:2-5.
Verse 3, "Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands."
Job had experienced something that I am not sure any other human being could comprehend.  The amount of grief and loss that he carried was enough to destroy someone.  By God's grace, Job was not only able to move forward, but he was able to help others around him.  He was able to give words of strength and encouragement.
Job did not have the words we read in 2 Corinthians 1:4, "Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."  One of the purposes of going through a refining time is not only for our own spiritual strength, it is also so we can be a help to others in their time of need.  We are able to pass along a passage of Scripture that encouraged us when we were in the same or similar situation.  God has multiple purposes for where He has you and me today.  Trust Him!!
