Our Bible verse today is Hebrews 13:8.
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
It is very evident to everyone that the world we live in changes almost daily. We refer to it as the changing of the times. Our family and friends change. In looking back over my life, I can definitely see that I have changed. Change isn't always for the bad, but we normally see it that way.
The attribute described in this verse is immutability. Thankfully, our Saviour, Jesus Christ does not change. When we open the Word of God, we read and learn about His love. His love never changes! We read about Jesus Christ's holiness. He is still holy! Whatever character trait we discover about our Saviour, He is still the same. This truth helps strengthen our faith. The One we are anchored in isn't going to drift as the world gets more and more hostile.
